Western Cape Campus Opening Soon
05 October 2023
24
We are excited to announce that we will be opening our first campus in the Western Cape this year. Our new campus will be located in Stellenbosch, making it accessible to our agricultural and corporate clients, while serving the skills development needs of the community. This will mark the launch of our fourth campus, with our existing campuses located in Bloemfontein, Welkom, and Vereeniging.
This new development transpired because of a promising collaboration with Usiko Stellenbosch a reputable non-profit organisation. Usiko provides guidance to at-risk young people who encounter psycho-social challenges emanating from within their communities. They offer mentoring, development and training, empowering the youth to see the value of education and how it can lead to a more prosperous future. Usiko aims to build strong family and community ties through the healing power of the wilderness, which is why they facilitate outdoor group excursions where strong connections can be fostered, and healing can begin.
Training Portal also believes in the positive impact that education can make in a community, which is why we will be giving Usiko and the youth in their programme access to state-of-the-art computers and online training. In addition, we will provide carefully selected training courses that will increase their chances of finding employment, so that they can also become financially independent and prosper. Furthermore, we plan to provide training to the Usiko Facilitators to further enhance their skills, which they can use to empower the youth in their community.
The cooperation with Usiko is a natural fit for both parties and we believe that this project will experience substantial growth in the next few years while making a tangible impact in the Western Cape community.
