How Training Portal invests in its own people

A new and exciting program has recently been launched which advances all our employees to a higher level to ensure that they have comparable abilities and information. The most recent example of this is when we sent our tutors on an assessor’s course at the end of December 2021.

 

The course was enjoyed by them all, while they also gained a lot of knowledge. They have demonstrated clearly that they now have a thorough understanding of assessment and also demonstrated that they know how to prepare themselves and the learners for assessment.

 

Following completion of the course, one of the tutors, Nkatiseng Masuhlo, reflected that the training was well-presented and covered sufficient training material relevant to the subject. “It was very inspirational, and provided us with lots of ideas and in-depth knowledge of what a qualified assessor should know. This includes all rules and regulations that an assessor needs to follow when assessing learners. I must say the training facilitator was outstanding and an expert on the subject matter. She made the training easy for everyone to participate in by creating a welcoming and warm environment. All-in-all it was a very good week of training and I learned a lot from everyone else’s experiences.”

 

This course will now permit the tutors to deal with all aspects of their work more efficiently. After certification and the necessary registration with various SETAs they will be eligible to become junior assessors at Training Portal.
